Home Puzzle

For Christmas Ray's dad got him a satellite puzzle with his house in the middle. We were pumped.

So we put the outline together, then the Ohio River followed by the Licking... and dear God Almighty we are never going to finish this thing! Everything is the same color and there are no more landmark markers!

We'd abandon it for months, putting in a piece here and there occasionally during Jersey Shore.

What made it harder and more interesting is that it was created with a satellite image of Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky that is at least 15 years old.

Some buildings and markers on the map had long been changed or gone, and others we'd never heard of. We learned a lot about the area too. Did you know there is a Clifton, Kentucky? We didn't either until we tried shoving the piece that said Clifton into the Cincinnati neighborhood of Clifton about 400 times.

It took us almost a year to finish.
